(FOUNTAIN CITY) - On October 30th, 1995, around 12:30 p.m., the Indiana State Police was called to the Willow Grove Cemetery on the southeast edge of Fountain City after a woman’s body was found inside a vehicle.

A Williamsburg resident, 48-year-old Wilma Cheek, was found by the cemetery caretaker, dead slumped over in the driver's seat of her gray 1989 Pontiac that was parked in the cemetery.

An autopsy confirmed Cheek had been shot to death inside her vehicle sometime between 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. that morning.

Wilma was last seen at her home by family members earlier that morning.

Police say an undisclosed amount of money was taken at the time of the shooting and remains unaccounted for.

It has been nearly 20 years since Cheek's death and police are asking for your help in solving her murder.
