Scott County Man Arrested On Drug Charges

(FLOYD CO.) - An Indiana State Police trooper stopped a gray 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse for a traffic violation on Interstate 64 near the Georgetown Exit in Floyd County on Friday.

The trooper determined that the driver, 43-year-old Debra Groenenboom of Scottsburg, and her passenger, 37-year-old Jessie Stacy of Deputy, possibly had drugs in the vehicle.

The trooper found meth and $3,200 in cash along with hypodermic needles in the vehicle.

Groenenboom and Stacy were arrested on charges of dealing meth over one gram, possession of meth, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia

Stacy is also facing charges of invasion of privacy.

Both were incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail.
