Sausage Patties Recalled After Finding Metal Pieces In Patties

Last updated on Friday, September 4, 2015

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Nearly 90,000 pounds of sausage patties are being recalled after several people reported finding pieces of metal inside the patties.

The recalled patties were produced in May of 2015 and shipped to several states, including Indiana.

The 24 ounce cartons and 13.5 pound cases of Cheddar Cheese and Bacon flavor Johnsonville Grillers are being recalled. The recalled products will have a "Best Flavor by" date of December 29, 2015 and establishment number "EST. 425B."

Kenosha Beef warns consumers not to eat these products. Anyone who may have the patties should throw them away or return them. Kenosha Beef has received several complaints from people who have found pieces of metal in the patties, but so far there have not been any reports of injuries.

It's still not clear how the metal may have gotten inside the patties. Fore more information visit http://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/recalls-and-public-health-alerts/recall-case-archive/archive/2015/recall-119-2015-release
