(DUNE STATE PARK) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of 32-year-old Katherine Wallace of Greenwood.
Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday Porter County emergency responders were called to the Indiana Dunes State Park Campground after Katherine reportedly collapsed at the entrance of her camper.
CPR was performed until EMS and Fire arrived and began to work on Katherine. She was transported to Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso where she was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses stated Katherine had not been feeling well lately. The incident is currently under investigation.
Responding agencies include: Indiana Conservation Officers, Porter County Sheriffs Police, Porter Police, Porter Volunteer Fire Department, and Porter County EMS.
