Fisherman's Body Recovered From Private Lake

(CLINTON) - A 94-year-old man was pronounced dead Sunday after his body was retrieved from a private lake near Clinton.

The victim's family has requested his name not be released until all immediate relatives have been notified.

The victim was fishing from a small jon boat with his brother when the watercraft overturned. Both men were thrown overboard. Neither fisherman was wearing a life jacket

Indiana Conservation Officers responded to the scene. The victim's body was recovered near the edge of the lake.

Indiana Conservation Officers are conducting an investigation on the incident but no foul play is suspected at this time. An autopsy is to be scheduled.

Responding agencies include: Vermillion County Sheriff's Department, Clinton Fire and Rescue, and Vermillion County Ambulance Service.
