Last updated on Thursday, August 13, 2015

(VINCENNES) - Vincennes University has named its new $27 million dollar Center for Science, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Officials say it'll be called Updike Hall in honor of the family of William E. (Bill) Updike of Indianapolis. He's a 1968 VU alum.

The highlight of the groundbreaking ceremony was the announcement that the Updike family has made a $2 million lead gift for the 85,740 square-foot facility.
