Police Say Children Died From Gunshot Wounds

Last updated on Monday, August 31, 2015

(HENRY CO.) - The two children who were found dead in their Henry County home Thursday died of gunshot wounds, police said Friday.

Police also released the names of the children Friday: Thomas Horn, 5, and Corinne Horn, 11.

The children and their father were found dead in their home in the 5500 block of Old National Road just outside Knightstown Thursday morning.

Officers discovered the bodies after they were sent to the home to investigate because the children didn't show up for school.

Investigators said the father, 48-year-old Joseph Horn also died of a gunshot wound.

The autopsy determined Joseph Horn's wound was consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot.

According to court documents, Horn's wife filed for divorce August 11 after 17 years of marriage, and she asked the court for temporary custody of the children.
