(GIBSON CO.) - A Oakland City man was arrested on a Level 3 felony child molestation charge.
According to Indiana State Police Detective Tobias Odom police began their investigation on July 22 after receiving information from Oakland City Police that a female had been allegedly molested by 51-year-old Frederick Groves of Oakland City.
Police determined that Groves had exposed himself and inappropriately touched the female, who is younger than 14-years-of age. The alleged incident occurred in July at an undisclosed location.
After reviewing Detective Odom's investigation the Gibson County Prosecutor's Office issued a felony arrest warrant for Groves.
Wednesday at 11:37 a.m. Troopers John Davis and Matt Jacobs arrested Groves at an Oakland City residence without incident. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
