(GARY) - An “officer down” call to Gary police early Tuesday turned out to be a hoax and led to charges being filed against a teenaged girl.
Officers only found an unmarked squad car with a broken right window. 19-year-old Lynda Lacy now faces criminal mischief, criminal trespass, resisting law enforcement and unlawful use of a communication medium charges. She allegedly used a police radio channel normally reserved for officers to information about car registrations and warrant checks.
