Last updated on Monday, July 27, 2015

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two Indianapolis police officers have been injured in separate accidents near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Lt. Richard Riddle says one accident occurred Sunday morning when a patrol car and a pickup truck collided outside a gate of the speedway. He says the female officer was taken to a hospital complaining of arm and neck pain.

The driver of the pick-up truck refused treatment at the scene.

Riddle also says a motorcycle officer apparently collided with another vehicle. He says the officer also went to the hospital with a leg injury. No one else was injured in that crash.

The two officers were not immediately identified.

The speedway was the site of NASCAR's Brickyard 400 race on Sunday.
