(UNDATED) - The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down in Heritage Lake in Putnam County Monday night.
Forecasters estimate the tornado hit about 11.5 miles northeast of Greencastle and had peak winds of 90 miles-per-hour.
The weather service also confirmed a tornado in Tippecanoe County. The tornado briefly touched down in corn fields and only damaged nearby crops. Its peak wind was estimated at 70 miles-per-hour.
