Chief Deputy Coroner Steve Lockyear says Deviante Gaines lived in the 2800 block of Lodge Avenue, where the shooting occurred.

WIFE reports, an autopsy has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Police believe three or four other people were with Gaines when shots rang out at the apartment around noon Monday.

Witnesses told police those people ran away when officers started pulling in.

At least 15 squad cars responded to the apartment complex with officers guarding the front door while crews canvassed the scene.

Police still don't know why someone opened fire and they are searching for those that ran away.

Police are asking anyone who was in the apartment building or the area to contact investigators.
