(CLAY CO.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces traffic on State Road 59 will be restricted to one 10’ lane on the Eel River Bridge beginning Friday, August 7.
Traffic will be controlled at the bridge with a traffic signal. The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck.
The restriction is scheduled to be completed November 6 of this year.
CLR, Inc. was awarded the $1.6 million contract. This project includes the S.R. 59 and the S.R. 42 Bridges over the Eel River. The S.R. 42 Bridge was closed in early June for a deck overlay and bridge repair project and is scheduled to reopen September 15.
