Last updated on Tuesday, July 7, 2015

(EVANSVILLE) - An Evansville man is accused of stabbing another man for not watching the city’s fireworks with him on Saturday.

WFIE reports that Michael Chester was arrested for aggravated battery with a knife.

Police say 25-year-old Chester arrived home very intoxicated and asked another person to go watch the fireworks at the riverfront with him. When that person refused to go, Chester allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and cut the man on the arm.

The victim was taken to Deaconess Hospital.

Chester was taken into custody.
