Highways Under Water, Police Ask Motorists To Avoid Area

Last updated on Tuesday, July 14, 2015

(JACKSON CO.) - Indiana State Police Versailles Post advises motorists to AVOID I-65 south lanes currently between 49-47mm in Jackson County due to moving water across both lanes.

This situation has caused traffic congestion and the south lanes are currently backed up to the 51mm.

Suggested alternate route is to exit I-65 at US 50, take it over to US 31 South. US 31 south of US 50 may have some area where water crosses the road as well.

Be advised that I-65 south may be on the verge of closing at exit 50 (Seymour) at any time.
