Fort Wayne Man Sentenced To 91 Years For Killing Convenience Store Owner

(FORT WAYNE) - A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 91 years in prison after being found guilty of the shooting death of a convenience store owner.

Allen Superior Court Judge Fran Gull sentenced 26-year-old Sanchez Williams on Tuesday for the murder and robbery of 21-year-old Moath Nassir of Big Al's Convenience Store.

A jury on June 25 found Sanchez guilty of murder, robbery use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Nassir was found shot outside his store on December 29. Days later, hundreds of people rallied for justice outside the southeast side store.

Williams told Nassir's family that he was sorry for their loss.

Nassir's pregnant girlfriend, Audrey Elliot, testified her unborn daughter will grow up without a father.
