(BICKNELL) - A fire destroyed a home in Bicknell Saturday night.
The fire was reported at 10 p.m. at 815 West Third Street, owned by Margo and Stan Stanczak and being rented by Andy Ellison. Ellison was not home when the fire started.
Bicknell Fire Chief Tom Houghland says Washington and Vigo Township, along with members from the Vincennes Township Fire Department, assisted in putting out the fire.
Because of the extreme heat and humidity, Knox County EMS provided water to firefighters who were suffering heat exhaustion. No firefighters were hospitalized.
The State Fire Marshall's office is investigating what started the blaze.
