Coroner: Joe Huber III Died From Asphyxiation And Drowning

(LOUISVILLE) - The Clark County coroner has released a statement following the death of Joe Huber III.

The accidental death of Joe Huber III is being investigated by the Clark County Sheriff's Department.

Clark County Sheriff's Detective Scottie Maples says 60-year-old Huber was mowing Monday morning around a pond on his property when the mower slid into the pond. Police say the mower went down an embankment before hitting the water. Huber's neighbor found him trapped under the mower.

The coroner listed the preliminary cause of death as traumatic asphyxiation and drowning.

The autopsy was performed by Clark County Coroner Terry Conway at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Kentucky, located in Louisville.

The results of the toxicology tests are pending.

The Joe Huber Family Farm has been a staple in Starlight for decades.
