Clarksville Man Facing Child Pornography Charges After Images Found On His Computer

Last updated on Tuesday, July 28, 2015

(CLARKSVILLE) - A southern Indiana man was in court Friday to answer to child pornography charges.

Police say more than 150 pornographic images were found when Rhett Adams took his laptop to a Clarksville repair shop last September.

Adams told police he bought the computer on Craigslist and did not know there were images of child porn on it.

"Mr. Adams certainly would not have gone and had someone work on his computer and asked them to look for something as it's been alleged on his computer if he had something that was clearly against federal and state statutes," says Larry Wilder, Adams' attorney.

Adams is facing three counts of child exploitation.

Police do not believe he was distributing the images.
