Last updated on Tuesday, June 30, 2015

(ANDERSON) - A pair of two year old twins from Anderson are receiving medical care, and their parents are behind bars after they were discovered emaciated at a home in Anderson earlier this month.

38-year-old Stephen Auker and 32-year-old Kimberly Robinson were both arrested last week and are not facing neglect charges.

On June 12th police were called to a home on West 13th Street where they discovered the twins in a 4x4 foot area of the home with no bed, food, or water.

Health officials say that they were suffering from nutrition deficiency so severe that their development was suffering both physically and mentally. The two year olds weighed just around 16 lbs or about the size of a seven month old baby.

The couple have two other children as well that are also in care of child protective services.
