National Weather Service Issues Flood Warnings

Last updated on Monday, June 22, 2015

(NEW HARMONY) - The National Weather Service is warning people to watch for water on roads as minor to moderate flooding continues for central and southern Indiana.

The weather service says flooding has been reported on the East Fork White River, Muscatatuck River, Tippecanoe River, Wabash River and White River.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security reports Huntington and Adams counties in northeast Indiana have issued travel watches, meaning that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. Nine other counties in northern Indiana and Knox County in southwest Indiana have issued travel advisories because of hazardous situations.

The weather service says scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday with a risk for severe storms.
