Moorland Woman Arrested After Police Found Drugs

(HENRY CO.) - A Moorland woman was arrested Wednesday around 3 p.m., after members of the Meth Suppression Squad served a search warrant on a home at 8601 N. Buck Creek Pike in Mooreland. The warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the use of illegal drugs.

38-year-old Jera M. Springman is facing three felony counts of neglect of a dependent and a felony count of maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor charges of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Springman was lodged in the Henry County Jail.

Four children were in the home and were placed with family members by the Division of Child Services.

The Meth Suppression Team was assisted in the investigation by the Henry County Prosecutor's Office, Henry County Division of Child Services and Shirley Police Department K-9 Officer Brian Pryor and his partner Huron.
