Man Receives 200 Years In Prison For Abusing Young Boys

Last updated on Monday, June 1, 2015

(ELKHART) - A northern Indiana man convicted of sexual abusing three young boys has received a more than 200-year prison sentence.

An Elkhart County jury convicted 40-year-old Jose Jesus Macias in April on all 11 felony counts of child sexual abuse the Goshen man had faced.

The Elkhart Truth reports (http://bit.ly/1QhLieW ) that a judge sentenced Macias on Thursday to 200 years and six months in prison.

Prosecutors alleged that Macias sexually abused the three boys between 2008 and 2011. Jurors heard from those three children during April's trial.

At Thursday's sentencing, the boys' mothers also addressed the court, with one of them saying her son will never be the same.

She told jurors that Macias' acts "have broken my son for life."
