Last updated on Tuesday, June 16, 2015

(SPEEDWAY) - Emergency crews from Wayne Township and Speedway responded to an ammonia leak around 3:30 a.m. Monday at the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in the 5000 block of West 25th Street near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Mike Pruitt from the Wayne Township Fire Department says that crews were transferring liquid ammonia when it either spilled or leaked from its container. Pruitt says there is not an active leak at this time.

Crews are inside the building conducting air samples right now.

It is not known if there are any injuries at this time.
