(GREENWOOD) - Greenwood Police detectives have arrested 42-year-old Ira Link of Beech Grove for the brutal attack and rape of an elderly woman that happened in the Valle Vista subdivision around 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Saturday morning Greenwood Police Department detectives were notified by the Beech Grove Police Department that they had a possible suspect in this case. Greenwood Detectives responded to the 1100 block of Bethel Avenue in Beech Grove where Beech Grove police had the suspect detained. Link was transported to the Greenwood Police Department where he was interviewed by Detectives and placed under arrest.
He is charged with rape, burglary and confinement and is currently incarcerated in the Johnson County Jail on $192,000 bond.
