Last updated on Friday, May 15, 2015

(EVANSVILLE) - Essentra, formerly known as Keller Crescent, is shutting down its Evansville facility.

WFIE reports that the company supplies healthcare and pharmaceutical packaging products internationally.

The facility on Louisiana Street near Fares will close down by October.

A press release from the company says they're relocating certain activities to a site in Charlotte, North Carolina.

About 150 employees who work at Essentra found out Wednesday- they're losing their jobs. Many of them have worked for the facility 30 years or more.

Several workers told 14NEWS they are devastated and unsure of what to do next.

On Thursday, reps with the Graphic Communications International Union Local 571 plan to negotiate benefits and options for the 110 production employees they represent.
