(JOHNSON CO.) - Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for missing guns that were stolen from a home in Highland Park.
Police say someone took between 20 and 30 guns from the house in the Highland Park subdivision just off Fry Road in Greenwood.
The owner discovered them missing from gun cabinets and a safe over the weekend.
Sheriff Doug Coxs says no assault rifles were taken but rifles, shotguns, handguns were taken including some antique and collectible long guns. Such a large number of stolen weapons is a concern for law-enforcement.
