One Dead, Three Injured After Vehicle Runs Stop Sign

(CARROLL COUNTY) - A Carroll County man is dead and his three passengers seriously injured after he ran a stop sign and collided with a semi-truck Thursday morning.

Investigators aren't sure why 19-year-old Jeramey Mossholder blew through a stop sign and into a northbound semi on Indiana 29 at the intersection with Indiana 18.

Mossholder was pronounced dead at the scene however his passengers: 21-year-old Tyler Breedlove, 21-year-old Chase Smith, and 19-year-old Brittany Hughes were all injured, according to Carroll County Sheriff's Office.

Two of the passengers were flown by air ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, and a third passenger was taken by ambulance to St Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.

The driver of the semi, 49-year-old George Bonestell was also taken to a Kokomo area hospital with unknown injuries.
