Columbus Police Make Arrest In Sexual Misconduct Case

Last updated on Friday, April 3, 2015

(COLUMBUS) - Columbus police made an arrest yesterday in a nearly year-long investigation into sexual misconduct with a minor.

Sgt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the department, said officers made an arrest in the 6200 block of South International Drive Tuesday.

At about 2 p.m., officers arrested 27-year-old Michael R. Ingalls of Columbus on a warrant for sexual misconduct with a minor. Harris said the investigation into the case began in May 2014 when detectives learned that Ingalls allegedly had inappropriate contact with a minor under the age of 16.

Ingalls is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail on $50,000 bond.
