Bicknell Man Facing Sex Crimes Charges Against Minor Who Suffers Mental Disabilities

(VINCENNES) - A Bicknell man faces ten charges all in relation to sex crimes against a minor.
According to court documents, 38-year-old James Burden was arrested March 24. Court records show Burden appeared for his first court hearing Friday. One of the man's counts include that the victim was mentally disabled.
According to court documents, the 10 counts ranged in dates from 2004 through 2011.
Here is a list of those charges:
- Child Molesting-intercourse or deviate sex with victim less than 14.
- Rape (force or imminent threat of force)
- Child Molesting-intercourse or deviate sex with victim less than 14.
- Rape (force or imminent threat of force)
- Rape (force or imminent threat of force)
- Child Molesting-intercourse or deviate sex with victim less than 14.
- Rape (same as (a)(2)/FB w/ deadly force, deadly weapon, SBI, or use of drug)
- Rape (same as (a)(1)/FB w/ deadly force, deadly weapon, SBI, or use of drug)
- Rape (victim mentally disabled such that consent not possible)
- Child Molesting-intercourse or deviate sex with victim less than 14
