(ELKHART) - Police in Elkhart say a 14-year-old boy has been shot dead.
WNDU-TV reports the shooting happened in the 400 block of Harrison Street shortly before 1 p.m.
Authorities identified the boy as Dezjaun Sanders. He was rushed to Elkhart General Hospital, where he died.
Officials say the shooting appeared to have escalated from an argument. Police are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Elkhart police.
