(WINCHESTER) - A judge has set a September trial date for an eastern Indiana man who allegedly impersonated a police officer and held four teenagers against their will.
The Star Press reports 40-year-old Kory William Tracy's trial is set for September 2 in Randolph Circuit Court.
He's charged with impersonation of a public servant and four counts of criminal confinement.
Authorities say four teens on their way home from a "Sweetheart Dance" in Winchester stopped in a parking lot on Feb. 8 to allow their sleepy driver to take a short nap.
Police said Tracy allegedly approached the teens while holding a handgun and wearing a shirt with a sewn-on badge and arm patches.
He allegedly told the teens to stay put and claimed he was a reserve Muncie police officer.
