(TERRE HAUTE) - One man running across the country for charity made a stop in Terre Haute Saturday.
Daren Wendell is on a 100 day journey raising money for clean water. The money will provide 2,500 Ethiopians with water for the rest of their lives.
He's been training for 2 years for this occasion.
It wasn't uncommon for him to run 20 miles after work each day.
Wendell says he's very grateful for all of the support he's received.
"We're getting a lot more support than I thought we would," Wendell said. "A whole lot more attention. You know people are coming out and running with me. We're literally almost like $500 away from our $100,000 goal already."
Wendell is on day 73 of his journey.
His ending point is in New York City.
