Columbus Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Cash Advance Business

(COLUMBUS) - Columbus Police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon armed robbery at a cash advance business.

Police Department Sgt. Matt Harris says that a black male entered the "Check 'n Go" store in Eastbrook Plaza at approximately 4 p.m. An employee at the business said that the suspect displayed a gun and took another employee to a back room of the business, where he obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as being 5'9″ to six-feet tall, with a regular build. He was reportedly wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on this armed robbery, or has information on a possible suspect, is urged to contact the Columbus Police Department. Tips can be left anonymously.
