Suspicious Activity Leads To Four Arrests

(SCOTTSBURG) - Indiana State Police arrested four people after they received a complaint about suspicious activity in the 500 block of Ray Street in Scottsburg Wednesday afternoon.

After witnessing suspicious activity, officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle shortly after the vehicle left the home. During that traffic stop, the driver, 42-year-old Debra Groenenboom of Scottsburg, was arrested after police found she had meth and drug paraphernalia.

Information from this traffic stop lead officers to assist the Scott County Probation Department in a probation check at the home on Ray Street. During a search of the home police found more drugs and drug paraphernalia..

At the home police arrested 32-year-old James Barnett, of Austin and 33-year-old Valerie Roll, of Scottsburg, on charges of possession of meth, a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.

48-year-old Benjamin Coomer, of Scottsburg was charged with possession of meth, a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
