Father Charged With Missing Infant's Murder

Last updated on Thursday, February 5, 2015

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The father of missing infant Delano Wilson has been charged with his son’s murder in Indianapolis.

Willie Wilson of Indianapolis was arrested Wednesday after an investigation that began with his report in late August that the baby had been taken from him by a man and woman who robbed him--and punched him in the mouth. But Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says police reported Wilson had no injuries to his face or mouth.

Investigators also found several internet searches on Wilson's phone for missing kids and missing babies.

Neighbors reported hearing a disturbance in Wilson's home, including with an expletive, that "this should not have happened."

A wooded area on the city's south side has been searched at least twice, but the baby's body has not been found.
