Colts' D'Qwell Jackson Arrested For Allegedly Punching Pizza Delivery Driver

(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Indianapolis Colts player who sparked the “Deflategate” controversy has been arrested.

Linebacker D'Qwell Jackson is accused of punching a pizza delivery man twice in the head during an argument over a parking spot in Washington, D.C.

According to police, Jackson who lives in Washington, D.C., in the offseason, was involved in a dispute with a pizza delivery man Tuesday night over a parking spot.

31-year-old Jackson was arrested and charged with simple assault for allegedly punching a 41-year-old man on the left side of the face and the back of the head. He was released from jail Tuesday night.

The victim was treated at the scene, but refused to go to the hospital.

The Colts say they are aware of Jackson's arrest and are waiting for more information before making a statement.

Jackson has played nine years in the NFL. Jackson has three years left on a four-year, $22 million deal, he signed with the Colts last year.

Jackson is the third Colts linebacker arrested in the last month. Josh McNary is charged with rape in Indianapolis. Andrew Jackson is charged with DUI in Kentucky.
