BMV To Promote Safety At Boat, Sport & Travel Show With Motorcycle Expo Booth

Last updated on Tuesday, February 17, 2015

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Kent Abernathy, Commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), announced that the BMV will participate in this year’s Boat, Sport & Travel Show’s Motorcycle Expo.

The BMV's participation will include a motorcycle simulator exhibit to promote motorcycle safety and awareness among Hoosier drivers. The Motorcycle Expo will be held on Feb. 20 - 22 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

"We are excited to be a part of the Motorcycle Expo with our motorcycle simulator. It was one of our biggest draws to our booth during last year's State Fair," said Abernathy. "Visitors can enjoy the experience of what it's like to ride in different traffic scenarios and in different weather conditions."

Individuals 16-years- and older will have the opportunity to experience the simulator to gain the understanding of what it's like to operate a motorcycle in real-life scenarios. Also, BMV staff will be on hand to monitor the motorcycle simulator and answer questions regarding motorcycle safety or other BMV-related issues.

Tickets to the Boat, Sport & Travel show include same-day admission to the Motorcycle Expo. For ticket and additional information about the Motorcycle Expo, please visit www.IndianaMotorcycleExpo.com. For more information on motorcycle safety or the BMV's online services, please visit myBMV.com.
