Advocates For Highway Safety - Indiana Needs New Traffic Laws

Last updated on Tuesday, February 10, 2015

(UNDATED) - Indiana needs new traffic laws.

That's according to Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety.

The group released its 12th annual report card grading all states on their basic highway safety laws. Indiana had 783 fatalities in 2013 at a cost of over $7 million.

The report card indicates Indiana needs an all-rider motorcycle helmet law, a minimum age of 16 for a learner's permit and a stronger nighttime restriction provision ignition interlock law for all offenders.
