Two Teens Arrested After Shooting BB Gun At Neighbor

Last updated on Friday, January 9, 2015

(COLUMBUS) - Two 15-year-old Columbus boys are in custody after allegedly shooting a BB gun at a neighbor and his vehicle early Thursday morning.

Sgt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department, says that the man was unloading a car from a tow truck at about 1:15 a.m. on Reed Street when he and the vehicle were hit by the pellets. No one was injured.

When officers arrived, they noticed a nearby open window and an investigation led them to the boys and a BB gun.

The boys were taken to the Bartholomew County youth services center on preliminary charges of battery, criminal mischief, vandalism and criminal recklessness.
