(INDIANAPOLIS) - Two men were arrested in a local bar for possession of cocaine on Saturday.
Lawrence Police Department received a tip that illegal substances were being sold out of La Movidita on Post Road. When excise officers investigated, they found powder cocaine in the kitchen area of the bar.
28-year-old Francisco Perez-Alegria and 29-year-old Hector Arreola-Jaramillo, both from Indianapolis, were arrested and booked on preliminary charges of level 5 felony charges of possession of cocaine.
50 packets of cocaine and $125 were also appropriated from the scene.
Because of the public nuisance caused by La Movidita, police have placed an administrative violation against their alcoholic beverage permit.
