Last updated on Thursday, January 8, 2015

(TERRE HAUTE) - A Terre Haute man who was at the center of a three hour standoff with police pleads guilty to several charges.

It happened back in July of 2014 near 19th and Crawford Streets. Neighbors warned police of a dangerous man. Police believe Carpenter threatened another man with a gun, and then barricaded himself inside a home. The Special Response Team was used to take Carpenter under arrest.

According to Carpenter's plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to four charges, including felony intimidation. The agreement calls for Carpenter to do four years in-home detention.
