(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) - Sherry Peters, the mother of 13-year-old Cheyenne Phillips, has been arrested and charged with custodial interference.
Phillips was on the run for two weeks with her 18-year-old boyfriend, Dalton Hayes. The two were arrested in Florida.
WDRB reports that Peters was taken into custody on January 19 by the Grayson County Sheriff's Office. According to an arrest warrant, Peters picked Phillips up from a residence in Grayson County on January 3 without permission from her father. Phillips and Hayes went missing a day later.
Peters does not have any custody or visitation rights to the child.
She is now facing one felony count of custodial interference.
