(MORGAN CO.) - The Indiana State Police are working a single vehicle semi-tractor roll over crash that occurred at 6 a.m. this morning on I-70 at the 61.4 mile marker, approximately two miles east of State Road 39.

According to police, 46-year-old Robert Giltz, 46, of Beth Page, TN, was operating a 2012 Kenworth semi-tractor trailer and box trailer for Warner Enterprises and traveling west on I-70 when for an unknown reasons the semi-tractor trailer went off the right side of the roadway down the earth embankment and overturned onto the driver's side.

Police say there were no skid or evasive marks at the scene.

Giltz was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Morgan County Coroner's Office. An autopsy is scheduled for later this afternoon.

The non-hazardous cargo in the box trailer was not compromised and will be off loaded onto another trailer to be removed.

Westbound traffic was restricted to one lane at the scene while emergency crews conducted the investigation and cleared the wreckage.

Assisting Agencies: Plainfield and Liberty Township Fire Departments, Hendricks and Morgan County Sheriff's Departments.
