(KOKOMO) - A Kokomo man is in jail for the alleged stabbing of another man.
According to Kokomo police, just before 3:30 a.m. they were called to the scene of a man lying on the ground unresponsive. When they arrived they found 32-year-old Jay West lying on the ground with a stab wound in his left side. He was transported to Community Howard Regional Health where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation revealed that West had been in an altercation with 45-year-old Luther Riddell, when he was stabbed by Riddell.
Riddell was arrested for Murder and transported to the Howard County Criminal Justice Center.
