Father Charged In Crash That Killed Son

(NEW CASTLE) - A Henry County father is accused of smoking marijuana before causing an April 2013 traffic accident that killed his 2-year-old son.

26-year-old Christopher J. Clark was arrested Thursday, 10 days after three related felony charges had been filed in Henry Circuit Court 2. Judge Kit Crane had ordered the charges- causing death when driving with a controlled substance in system, reckless homicide and causing serious bodily injury with a controlled substance in system- sealed until Clark was taken into custody.

Authorities said Clark ran a stop sign at Wilbur Wright Road and pulled into the path of another car which fatally injured Clark's son Carson and injured his daughter, then 6.

The most serious of the three charges against Clark is a Class B felony carrying a standard 10-year prison term.
