Columbus Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle Monday

(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus woman died after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning.

Sgt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department, says that 54-year-old Terri Bradtke was walking south across Rocky Ford Road near Candlight Drive at about 6:15 a.m., when she was struck be a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Hannah Harris, also of Columbus. The driver told officers that Bradtke was in the road and that she tried to avoid hitting her, but was unsuccessful.

Bradtke was flown via Lifeline to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with severe head injuries where she later died.

Sgt. Harris says the investigation is ongoing.
