Snow Headed For Tri-State Area

(EVANSVILLE) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 pm Sunday to 6 am Monday CST.

A Winter Weather Advisory covers much of central Indiana from 5pm today to 9am Monday.

Cloudy skies begin to produce scattered snow showers by around 4pm this afternoon. Snow expands rather quickly across Indiana, and should cover most of the state between 6 and 8pm.

Light to moderate snow continues overnight into the Monday morning commute. When all is said and done, snowfall totals on the order of 3"- locally 5" can be expected along and south of a Sullivan to Indy to Muncie line. 1"-3" of snow is expected along and NW of this line.

Once the snow moves out early Monday, we're left with just a few afternoon snow showers and colder temperatures.
