Two Arrested After Stealing Copper From State Park

Last updated on Tuesday, October 21, 2014

(CHARLESTOWN) - Late Sunday night surveillance by Indiana Conservation Officers at Charlestown State Park leads to two arrests.

40-year-old Tyler Broy and 40-year-old Richard Ferree Junior, both of Jeffersonville, are charged with theft and criminal trespass.

Officers were using night vision optics when they spotted the two men scaling a 30-foot utility pole and cutting copper wire.

They say park maintenance personnel also located an extension ladder and cutting tools that had been stashed in a remote area of the park last week.
