State Sets Up Ebola Call Center

Last updated on Tuesday, October 21, 2014

(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Department of Health has set up a new call center for questions about Ebola.

It will have health representatives available to answer any questions about symptoms, screening, and diagnosis. The hope is that the call center will cut down on common misconceptions about the disease.

Health officials remind residents that the disease cannot be spread via food, water, air, or casual contact and it can only be spread when the patient is symptomatic.

The phone number for the hotline is 877-862-0011. The hotline is open Monday-Friday from 8:15 am to 4:45 pm.
